Kim Hyo-joo (31) and Choi Hye-jin (27), both sponsored by LOTTE, have demonstrated their presence in the latest world golf rankings. Kim cemented her spot at No. 3 after winning a domestic tournament for the first time in four years and seven months, while Choi moved up to No. 15 following a joint third-place finish on the LPGA Tour.
According to the women’s golf world rankings announced on October 12 (KST), Kim Hyo-joo earned 7.32 points to remain in third place behind world No. 1 Nelly Korda (11.93 points, USA) and No. 2 Jeeno Thitikul (10.99 points, Thailand). She is the only South Korean golfer in the top 10.
Notably, Kim’s lead over fourth-ranked Yin Ruoning (5.82 points, China) widened from 1.26 points last week to 1.50 points.
Kim secured her victory at the NH Investment & Securities Ladies Championship held at Suwon Country Club’s New Course in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province on October 10, finishing with a total of 9-under-par 207.
Choi Hye-jin received 3.35 points to rise two spots from 17th last week to 15th. The jump came after she tied for third at the LPGA Tour’s Mizuho Americas Open the previous day.
