Russian coach Igor Shalimov has shared his thoughts on Barcelona’s early La Liga title triumph, which was confirmed following their 2-0 victory over Real Madrid in Matchday 35.

“It’s all deserved. If Barcelona are champions with three games to go, then Real Madrid have every reason to weep. In my opinion, this is a terrible scenario for both sides,” Shalimov said during an appearance on the show “All for the Match!” on Match TV.
The Catalan club sealed the Spanish championship with three matches remaining. Barcelona sit top of the La Liga table with 91 points, while Real Madrid occupy second place.

This marks Barcelona’s second consecutive Primera title, having won the league for the second season in a row.
